About a piece of art

Guernica was painted by Pablo Picasso in 1937. It's an oil painting and It's show the Guernica War. The dramatic scenery includes original and strange persons, animals, and flats in the middle because they're desperate for the war. This type of work is typical realism, an art movement which started in France. the realism sometimes used dark colors and bizarre images. Their work show real scences or landscapes. It's amazing! The Guernica was exhibited in 1937. The government paid fifteen million pounds for the painting.  I really like this painting because it's original and very special.

Write a review of a film

I'd like to recommend a film which I saw recently called War Horse. The film is a drama and the setting is in England during the First World War. The main characters are one horse called Joey and one boy called Albert. Albert is the son of a farmer. His father bought Joey in auction.
The things I like most about the film were the characters and theme of friendship. Some of the scences are memorable because they're really strong and the style and the plot are magnific!. You can watch all the armies, the clothes, all the territory, the feelings of the people...
So all in all, I really like the novel, and thought it has got happy ending. I wouldn't change it. It's a little difficult film to understand because you can not always think of all the feeling of the horse.  I think that the people who rides a horse understands better the film than the people who don't specially ride. Because there are some scences of the horses suffering.

Writing

I'd like to recommend a film I saw this easter called War horse.
The film is a drama and the setting is in England during the first World War. The main characters are one horse called joey and one boy called Albert. Albert is the sun of a farmer. His father bought Joey in auction. There are an other character that I liked because was very friendly and he had a big heart. This character is Captain Nichols.
the things I liked most about the film were the characters and theme of friendship. Some of sciences are memorable because they're really strong and the style and the plot are magnific!. But, in my opinion the novel is better than the book because it had a lot of scences that the film not had.

Post a comment on an internet forum

I agree with heyGazza!. I'm diagree with Marky oo2 and Mygirl_Ruby because the online life is a bit stupid. You don't know who is the person who talks to you. And It's a bit dangerous because some people die for a situation. I use the internet every day. But I don't spend a lot of hours in it. i think TV is addictive less than internet because you don't have big serious problems. My friend Carla has an internet addiction. She's I'll!. She spends a lot of time on her computer and she doesn't eat or meet her real friends. It's terrible!. I recommened that people meet and have fun with his real friends.

An envoirment problem

I'm writting because I went to Tarragona with my family last weekend and there were a lot of traffic jam. It was terrible!
I think there are one ot two reasons of this. Firstly, people aren't responsible enough, so perhaps we need more bicycles and we don't need a lot of cars. the cars, the planes, the buses, the lorries, the hleicopetrs... They all polute a lot!. Secondly, there aren't a lot of bicycles. People always use cars or buses to go to work or the beach. This prodeuces traffic jams. We must do something about this situation. Maybe there is a lot of bicycles, people don't need cars but to do more execrise. Then there isn't traffic jam. I don't knowm but we must definetly do soemthing here if we want a nice world!

Romeo and juliet

This term we have read the novel Romeo and Juliet and then we have watched the actually film.
I think It was a very beautifull and attractive play and was wrote by William Shaekspeare. But I didn't like the film because it was very rare and shocking film. I didn't understand. And then I didn't like the music and the effects I think the play  It's better than the film.

The Play

There was a Capulet boy, Romeo who was in love with one girl, Juliet. But there was a problem because capulets and Montagues they hate each other for a hundred of years. Romeo had one cousin. His name was Benvolio. He spends most of the play trying to help Romeo get his mind off Rosaline, even after Romeo has fallen in love with Juliet. And one friend Mercutio. He finds Romeo’s romanticized ideas about love tiresome, and tries to convince Romeo to view love as a simple matter of sexual appetite. There was another character: Friar Laurence. This is the person who married Romeo and Juliet and help Juliet becuase she didn't want married with the Prince. There were Lady Montague and Lord Montague also. There were the parents of Juliet. Finally, there was Prince of Cats. There was an incredible boy. Was the cousin of Juliet and he love figthing.

HALLOWEEN HISTORY

Halloween (also spelled Hallowe'en) is an annual holiday celebrated on October 31. It has roots in the Celtic festival of Samhain and the Christian holy day of All Saints.

Originally Halloween was a pagan festival, around the idea of linking the living with the dead, when contact became possible between the spirits and the physical world, and magical things were more likely to happen. Like most pagan festivals, long ago it was absorbed into the festivals of the expanding Christian church, and became associated with All Hallows Day, or All Saints Day, which eventually fell on November 1.
The celebration of Halloween survived most strongly in Ireland. It was an end of summer festival, and was often celebrated in each community with a bonfire to ward off the evil spirits. Children would go from door to door in disguise as creatures from the underworld to collect treats, mainly fruit, nuts and the like for the festivities. These were used for playing traditional games like eating an apple on a string or bobbing for apples and other gifts in a basin of water, without using your hands. Salt might be sprinkled on the visiting children to ward off evil spirits. Carving turnips as ghoulish faces to hold candles became a popular part of the festival, which has been adapted to carving pumpkins in America.

The day is often associated with the colours black and orange, and is strongly associated with symbols like the jack-o'-lantern. Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, wearing costumes and attending costume parties, ghost tours, bonfires, visiting haunted attractions, telling scary stories, and watching horror films!!
